Connect your shop

  • Through your shop's SMTP setting

If your shop platform lets you set a custom SMTP server, use smtp.mail.land on port 587 with STARTTLS, and a sending key with the SMTP channel enabled as the password. MailLand has no app or plugin for any shop platform.

  • Or from your own backend

One REST call per email. The docs have copy-paste examples in curl, JavaScript, Node.js, Python, PHP, C#, Java and Go; there is no SDK.

  • Follow every order email

Webhooks report delivered, deferred, bounced, failed and complained events for each order email, so your support team can see when one was delayed or did not go through.

Order emails and promotions stay separate

  • Separate keys and limits

Transactional and marketing mail use different keys and different rate limits. An unsubscribe from your newsletter does not suppress order confirmations.

  • Promotions need consent

Send newsletters only to customers who agreed to receive them. MailLand has no double opt-in flow, so record consent in your shop when customers sign up.

Hosted in the EU

  • Servers in Germany

MailLand runs at Hetzner in Germany, mainly in Nuremberg, with an encrypted backup copy in Warsaw, Poland. A few sub-processors, such as Cloudflare and Stripe, may process limited data outside the EU under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

  • Read the DPA

The data processing agreement lists every sub-processor and where it works.

Questions from online shops

Is there a Shopify or WooCommerce app?

No. MailLand has no app or plugin for any shop platform. Use your platform's SMTP setting if it has one, or call the API from your own code.

Can I attach PDF invoices?

Yes. Through the API, up to 10 attachments totalling 10 MiB; the SMTP relay accepts whole messages up to 15 MiB.

What happens on a big sale day?

Each plan has a per-minute sending rate for transactional and marketing mail, shown on the pricing page. Above it the API answers 429 with a Retry-After header, so plan large campaigns ahead and keep order mail on the transactional stream.

Are opens and clicks tracked?

For campaigns, when tracking is on. For transactional mail such as order confirmations it is off by default.
