Frequently asked questions

Can I keep my SMTP code when I switch?

Usually, yes. Change the host to smtp.mail.land, use port 587 with STARTTLS, and use a Mail.Land API key as the password. The username can stay apikey: Mail.Land ignores it.

Is the REST API compatible with SendGrid's?

No. The Mail.Land send call has a different shape and authentication header. Our migration guide maps each SendGrid field to its Mail.Land equivalent.

Can I bring my suppression lists?

Yes. Export your bounces, spam reports and unsubscribes from SendGrid and import them into Mail.Land before your first send, so that people who opted out stay suppressed.
