}A log entry for every transactional message
Support can see whether the receiving server accepted a message, or whether it was delayed or failed, without asking engineering.
Search and filter
Find a message by recipient, subject or message ID, and filter by status: queued, sent, deferred, delivered, bounced, failed, opened, clicked or complained.
The event timeline
Open a message to see each event in order, with the receiving server's response for a delivery and the type and reason for a bounce.
What was sent
The message detail keeps the subject and the HTML and text body, so you can check exactly what the recipient was sent.
Send it again
Retry a bounced or failed message from its log entry, as long as the recipient is not on your suppression list.
Totals, rates and trends
Totals and rates for any date range and by type of mail; hourly volume for up to the last 30 days.
Event totals and rates
Sent, delivered, opened, clicked, bounced and complained counts, with delivery, open and click rates worked out from the same counts.
Daily and hourly volume
Chart sending per day and per hour, against a baseline of your usual volume for each hour, so an unusual drop or spike stands out.
Top links
See which links in your emails get the most clicks.
Where, when and on what
Countries and cities
Opens and clicks grouped by the recipient's country and city.
Devices and email clients
Desktop, mobile or tablet, plus the browsers and email clients your recipients use.
Time of day
Engagement by hour and day of the week, as a heatmap of the whole week.
Excel and PDF export
Download a report for a chosen date range as an Excel workbook or a PDF to share with your team.
How to read the numbers
Opens and clicks are an upper limit
Apple Mail Privacy Protection and security link scanners open and click messages automatically, and MailLand does not filter that activity out today. Read open and click figures as the most human engagement there could have been, not an exact count.
Retention follows your plan
Logs and analytics events are kept for 30 days on Free, 90 days on Pro and 180 days on Max.
Questions about analytics
Can I get this data through the API?
Yes. Logs, statistics and analytics are REST endpoints documented with examples, and the dashboard reads the same endpoints.
Does the message log include campaign mail?
No. The message log lists transactional mail. Each campaign has its own report with the status of every recipient, plus opens, clicks and unsubscribes.
Do you record opens and clicks for every email?
Only when tracking is switched on. For transactional mail it is off by default. When it is on, an open or click records the client's IP address, user agent and approximate location.
How long is the data kept?
30 days on the Free plan, 90 days on Pro and 180 days on Max, for both the message log and the analytics events.
